The tragedy has several causes in different dimensions: again, Taiwan's geo-political locale intertwined within the civil war of the Communists' China and KMT (Mr. Chiang Kai-shek and his Chinese followers), Japan's occupation on Taiwan, the 5th column's infiltration, the US. involvement, WWII, in addition to the socio-economic-cultural lag between the new comers of the China- mainlanders and the local Taiwanese. One of my theses was about this event.
