Also found this old class lecture note. It is a general concept, and may not explain well on some peculiar phenomena happening now.

Found some previous students (of a Tech College) who enjoyed Democratic Party's fighting for their educational benefits, but loved (or voted for) rep./maga's great rhetoric.

Having taught social sciences and art at a tech college for 17 years, except a few students of the liberal art transferring track, I found many students who were benefited from the Democratic Party's educational policies, enjoyed the rep./maga's BIG talk (or biting the hand that helps them...)
You could imagine how challenging it is to be an educator in such an environment...

I remember during that time there were conservative social elites in the community urging governments to stop/reduce such aids to those underprivileged students.
Krystal Huang
Having said so, I admitted there were not without some controversies. For example, from students' writing assignments, I found some of them using their own experiences against student aid or social programs. Here is one: this female student complained that she worked 2 part time jobs, took care of her young kids, and attended school without student aid, but her sister, an unwed mom with babies, got all sorts of welfare things and subsidies. It was unfair to her...
What should I respond to her statements? Hard, right?
Well, I just said, "You are very strong. Most of us experience hard time once in a while. I think your sister needs urgent help, otherwise, your baby nice/nephew may face lots of life threats. Your sister, will be as strong as you after this difficult time..."

One male student provided his story to echo what I expressed. His sister also had a similar situation. She did receive the basic help, and then stood on her own feet. She later opened a small business to support her family.

So, the issue is how to make a social program thoughtful and effective, and through proper education to reduce the above cases' recurrence.

Jan. 1 (W,) 2025 Remedy or Curse

Just read an acticle about the word "Happy" in new year... It could be a pretended illusion since so much suffering., upside down things going on in the US. and the rest of the world.
