March 11 (Sa), 2017 Learning A to Z, with a minor revision

Not surprisingly, the educational system is on the top list as a disposable or dispensable item on the Capitol Hill...

A reminiscence:  one of my majors (for some situations beyond control for the basic living in the US, I reluctantly/unfortunately ended up with 5 majors: Sociology, Social Psychology, Art/Art Education, Socio-political science, and Curriculum & Instruction on Learning Technologies, as well as 4 minors: Computer Science, Journalism, Women's Studies, and Military Education  - a long term Professional Learner who diversifies "credentials" to trade off with the job titles) has something to do with Education - Curriculum and Instruction in an Educational Department on Learning Technologies (previous Instructional System and Technology), so I summed up a poster about learning-teaching "philosophy/pedagogy" for an edutainment.

Crystal LC Huang The smaller government (a forever phantom :)) sounds appealing to most of we-the-people (in particular, the Republicans, Libertarians, and some of the Populists, and perhaps, others...) What about after smaller-ed, who benefits from the the smallerization, who are those happily enjoying "less is more"? Check out the following endangered species:

1. HR 861 Terminate the Environmental Protection Agency
2. HR 610 Vouchers for Public Education
3. HR 899 Terminate the Department of Education
4. HJR 69 Repeal Rule Protecting Wildlife
5. HR 370 Repeal Affordable Care Act
6. HR 354 Defund Planned Parenthood
7. HR 785 National Right to Work (this one ends unions)
8. HR 83 Mobilizing Against Sanctuary Cities Bill
9. HR 147 Criminalizing Abortion (“Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act”)

Shelly della Selva Totally agree

Crystal LC Huang  Having served 20 years ( one 2-year tech college and one 4-year university - an excellent experience of such a terrific combo) in the educational enterprise of the US, retirement seems very attractive in the near future for me to do other fun things (including a tentative plan of moving back to Taiwan).

I had better have an enough amount of courage to share some authentic observations with friends and folks (after retired, maybe).
So, stay tuned :D!

Crystal LC Huang Social class (not to mention, intersecting with race, gender and the rest of ascribed statuses) + cultural capitals => life chances => education/Social mobility = merits+wealth-power-n-prestige (Goes both directions, yes, for better and worse).
