This reminds me of a very smart, eloquent student a while ago. I quite enjoyed listening to his arguments and persuasion in my Sociology classroom discussion.
He registered at the school that I taught, which was quite a conservative orientated tech college in the midwest region, mainly, due to the Pell grant and other student aids available to him (he was from other state. ) He purchased many quite expensive electronic gears and brought them to classroom. We were all amazed frequently. You could tell he was no working class folk - quite differen from most of my students. He loved Rush Limbaugh. And his thinking and behaving was just like a mini-Rush L. Later, I never hear from him.
Rush L. died in 2021. Obviously, his "dark legacy" is running quite deep...
