黃昶 The first coronavirus death case was reported ( of Washington State)
This is not just the tragedy of the deceased person, but places visited, friends and folks contacted and the community of the deceased engaged, yes, the whole circle needs to be traced, tracked, screened, checked, tested and quarantined to prevent further spreading!!!!
Yes, this will be the most cumbersome and priciest task ever happening, which has to be done properly and thoroughly!
Again, containment and prevention are equally urgent!

黃昶 The Second Wave just began!!
Many potentially infected people, due to an inadequate health insurance policy, or not covered by the policy, dare not to visit the hospital.

黃昶 Just heard off an event about an individual who went to the hospital for screening and testing on the virus. A few days later, he got a $5000 dollar medical bill!!!! (He lives in Miami).

黃昶 In Taiwan, the medical bill of the whole set of diagnoses is paid by the government (from taxpayers' money), so as Japan, Korea and the rest of neighboring infected regions.

What a long waiting...Finally, after the five days in a row of the perpendicular plunge in the stock markets, "WHO cares" sent out the highest alert! Where to get N95 masks? Not to mention all sorts of anti-Crononavirus personal protective equipment (PPE)? Only 60 cases (today added 2), "were reported" in such a hustling-bustling country of 331,002,651 residents ?????

Is it good news - gods bless America! Or something else?? Or following the China " Opaque Model'?

How to trace the origins and the contacted people, traveled places and businesses of the infected? Is it too "EARLY" now?

Here is the daily live update of the world CONVID-19 data: (you might notice some honestly OPEN fake updates?):

Is it never too late to save lives in the US.!? But, so far, only about 450 suspected (of infection) cases were screened/tested due to lacking funding and health care personnel for the required testing facilities!!!!! These people are still moving around with FREE Will.

Hope it is never too late to save lives in the US.!!!

黃昶 Here is a hindsight episode. On Feb. 5 Wisconsin identified the first infected case. According to the news, the UW hospital checked the patient and then asked this person to self-quarantine at home. At the moment I could not believe what I read. I was totally shocked by the flaws. Did the doctors and nurses have the standard anti-virus masks, multiple-layered gloves, lab coats and the rest of personal protective equipment (PPE), protective scrubs on, the testing procedures following the required anti-virus protocols? Did the patient comply with the rule without spreading into a community contagious scenario? What about the aircraft, cars, or public transportation systems, friends, and folks this person contacted? (Now more information about this novel virus has been reported. They can mutate quickly, and the incubation period can last more than 24 days. Some supercarriers show no symptoms!!)

I had so many questions after reading this WI case. I do understand the importance of protecting the patient's confidentiality, which discouraged my intention to follow up on this case at that time.

Since Jan 24 of the "Official" outbreak, I have been paying attention to all sorts of possible news and reports (though, probably, most were either fake or rumors with political agenda) related to my native hometown and the world situations, because I could sense the "complexity" and severity of this geo-politico-economic crisis. Hopefully, people are well informed, media are more transparent, the bureaucrats-politicians-policymakers dare not to lie to WeThePeople and do something properly for the taxpayers, and everyone is well prepared in Wisconsin and other places.

黃昶 In Taiwan, due to the geopolitical proximity, the highest alert was self-imposed right after China's outbreak in screening, testing, diagnosis, the preparation of the medical personnel, public health caregivers, medical materials, public health-care rules and regulations, etc. which were mobilized since January (plus lesson learned from the previous crisis.)

At that time, China unilaterally wanted to send Taiwanese (students, travelers, businesspersons...etc.) stranded in Wuhan to Taiwan and rejected the Taiwan government's health-care and anti-virus protocols. China insisted to deploy her aircraft instead of that of Taiwan's well-equipped anti-virus transportation vehicles. In the long run, among the agreed 244 passengers arriving at Taiwan International airport, the screening personnel found 3 EXTRA unknown passengers (thus the total ended up 247), and among these 3 persons, one was seriously infected with Coronavirus!!!!!!  WHY????

And this was how tough the anti-coronavirus crisis had begun in Taiwan - fighting against the deadly virus and dealing with China's geopolitical intrigues (including China Airforce maundering Taiwan to distract the internal and international attention and intimidating the Southeast sea regions.)

Based on the humanitarian principle, the Taiwan government has still helped these unknown passengers to recuperate.

The minimum procedure has to be going through at least 3 to 5 times back and forth checks and tests and then under careful observation and evaluation on the patient for at least 2 weeks' health care based on the International public- health protocols. All the contacted people, traveled places of the patient have to be tested and then self-quarantined, examined to prevent the potential community from contagion. Updating conditions and checked by the public-medical service agencies are required routines.

Taiwan, at this moment, is producing enough PPE, and controls how they are distributed. Many touching stories are reported about how the used-to-be competitive businesses and factories, now all are working together, donating materials, techniques, machines, and money to focus on developing vaccines and medicinal-health-related necessities to fight against this world pandemic crisis.   https://foreignpolicy.com/.../taiwan-who-coronavirus.../

Several bureaucrats (politburo?) of WHO intentionally hinder Taiwan to join WHO for helping fight against the coronavirus.

黃昶 The most horrific danger is still invisible to many people...

It is never too late to defend lives!!!The government can be either an angel or a devil.

Feb 14 (F), 2020 Time in a bottle

On this Valentine's Day, pray for Love and Peace:

The saddest yet the most elegant LOVE song:

Songwriter/singer: Jim Croce

If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I'd like to do
Is to save every day
'Til eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you

If I could make days last forever
If words could make wishes come true
I'd save every day like a treasure and then
Again, I would spend them with you

But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do
Once you find them
I've looked around enough to know
That you're the one I want to go
Through time with

If I had a box just for wishes
And dreams that had never come true
The box would be empty
Except for the memory
Of how they were answered by you

But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do
Once you find them
I've looked around enough to know
That you're the one I want to go
Through time with

The best and the most beautiful LOVE SONG ever!

Michael Jackson singing Ben..beatifull!!!!!!
i love MICHAEL with all my life!i love MICHAEL with all my life!

黃昶 Songwriter: Don Black
Composer: Walter Scharf

We both found what we were looking for
With a friend to call my own
I'll never be alone
And you my friend will see
You've got a friend in me
(You've got a friend in me)

Ben, you are always running here and there

You feel you're not wanted anywhere

If you ever look behind
And don't like what you find
There's something you should know
You've got a place to go

I used to say "I" and "me"
Now it's "us", now it's "we"
I used to say "I" and "me"
Now it's "us", now it's "we"

Ben, most people would turn you away
I don't listen to a word they say
They don't see you as I do
I wish they would try to
I am sure they'd think again
If they had a friend like Ben

Like Ben

Their government orders the mortality rate kept about 2% of the confirmed infected cases on a daily basis (now, over 1100 cases) while commanding domestic and oversea companies to manufacture one million body-bags (for the deceased of the infected)  ...according to two relevant CEOs' confidential reports. Inside Wuhan's informants sent out messages that the 49 crematories burned 1200 bodies (or at least 50,000 deaths in Wuhan city, compared to the official reports of 1100 cases of the whole country) 7/24 hours per day.

Due to the information suppression, many spreading data regarding infected cases and the death toll are speculative.

黃昶 黃昶 The Heart Sūtra (Sanskrit: प्रज्ञापारमिताहृदय Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya or 心經 Xīnjīng) is an important sutra in Mahāyāna Buddhism. Its Sanskrit title, Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya, can be translated as "The Heart of the Perfection of Wisdom".
A new translation of the great master: Thich Nhat Hanh:
Avalokiteshvara
while practicing deeply with
the Insight that Brings Us to the Other Shore,
suddenly discovered that
all of the five Skandhas are equally empty,
and with this realization
he overcame all Ill-being.
“Listen Sariputra,
this Body itself is Emptiness
and Emptiness itself is this Body.
This Body is not other than Emptiness
and Emptiness is not other than this Body.
The same is true of Feelings,
Perceptions, Mental Formations,
and Consciousness.
“Listen Sariputra,
all phenomena bear the mark of Emptiness;
their true nature is the nature of
no Birth no Death,
no Being no Non-being,
no Defilement no Purity,
no Increasing no Decreasing.
“That is why in Emptiness,
Body, Feelings, Perceptions,
Mental Formations and Consciousness
are not separate self entities.
The Eighteen Realms of Phenomena
which are the six Sense Organs,
the six Sense Objects,
and the six Consciousnesses
are also not separate self entities.
The Twelve Links of Interdependent Arising
and their Extinction
are also not separate self entities.
Ill-being, the Causes of Ill-being,
the End of Ill-being, the Path,
insight and attainment,
are also not separate self entities.
Whoever can see this
no longer needs anything to attain.
Bodhisattvas who practice
the Insight that Brings Us to the Other Shore
see no more obstacles in their mind,
and because there
are no more obstacles in their mind,
they can overcome all fear,
destroy all wrong perceptions
and realize Perfect Nirvana.
“All Buddhas in the past, present, and future
by practicing
the Insight that Brings Us to the Other Shore
are all capable of attaining
Authentic and Perfect Enlightenment.
“Therefore Sariputra,
it should be known that
the Insight that Brings Us to the Other Shore
is a Great Mantra,
the most illuminating mantra,
the highest mantra,
a mantra beyond compare,
the True Wisdom that has the power
to put an end to all kinds of suffering.
Therefore let us proclaim
a mantra to praise
the Insight that Brings Us to the Other Shore.
Gate, Gate, Paragate, Parasamgate, Bodhi Svaha!
Gate, Gate, Paragate, Parasamgate, Bodhi Svaha!
Gate, Gate, Paragate, Parasamgate, Bodhi Svaha!”
The thousand-armed Avalokiteśvara: the vows with more than the thousand hands and infinite wisdom to relieve the suffering of all human and non-human beings.

黃昶  I stumbled upon my previous caligraphy on Heart Sutra, done a while ago:

"You Are Not Alone"

Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

But you are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
But you are not alone

'Lone, 'lone
Why, 'lone

Just the other night
I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come
And hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers
Your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand
Then forever can begin

Every day I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

You are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
You are not alone

Whisper three words and I'll come runnin'
And girl you know that I'll be there
I'll be there

You are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
You are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

You are not alone (You are not alone)
I am here with you (I am here with you)
Though you're far away (Though we're far away, you and me)
I am here to stay

You are not alone (You are always in my heart)
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

For you are not alone...
Not alone ohh
You are not alone
You are not alone
Say it again
You are not alone
You are not alone
Not alone, not alone
If you just reach out for me girl
In the morning, in the evening
Not alone, not alone
You and me not alone
Oh together together
Gotta stop being alone
Gotta stop being alone
