It was also the No. 1 resolution last year, marking a shift from the previous decade in which “losing weight” topped the list 80% of the time (it tied this year). - USATODAY.comManage

Dec 28 (Th) 2017 How to evaluate a country's "success"?

Sun Lasting My very emotional response to the heinous crime against ( I took off from facebook, but posted at the bottom on blogger) the brutalized by the youngsters in the video:
How do you evaluate a country's "Success"? - by how many nuclear heads, skyscrapers, beloved gods, tons of video games, and the abundant materials stuffed in the super markets or houses; or how the whole culture socializes, nurtures, and educates children (both male, female and those go between), women, and protects the defenseless animals (non-human sentient beings)...??

It takes the whole village's love and care to bring forth humanity alive.

Sun Lasting Some of fb friends are too kind to accept any things which is not visually elegant or joyful, though. Respect that.
We have to work hard, voluntarily, co-building a happy Facebook paradise.
Sorry Per Ingebrigtsen, Dana, Jenny, Steve, thanks for your responses.

Heart-wrenching...
Thinking of human mothers having hard time to do (or have rights) breast feeding (both in the public and private sectors), the cow mothers have to endure the agony of losing their Sons (at least one of the calves, in this case) to be VEAL, in order to save her milk to feed adult human babies and nurse small human babies....

Sun Lasting Fortunately and unfortunately, my mother breast fed her 10 children (formula, at that time, belonged to the top 1% women). Never bothered mother cows, nor deprived any boy calf's nursing right (one of the rare sex, perhaps, gender discriminations against male).
Then, I don't have human children.
All my feline majesties, though none of them is vegan/vegetarian, they don't eat beef/veal, not because l cannot afford.

One of many reasons I respect cattle, in particular, cows, is because they are vegans, so as sheep/goats/rams, horses, and the rest of herbivores - yes, from my humble bias which irritates the meat production industry, particularly, the slaughtering house, and the carnivores terribly.

It is really hard to imagine the excruciating pains of a mother seeing her baby son(s) sent to be slaughtered for the human high-end, unnecessary consumption!

It can be similar to a human mother seeing off her child to the battlefield...consumed by the warmongers (Watch out! The ring of fire was lit and started spreading through the area of Jerusalum...)

Why, enjoy the mother's suffering!

Crystal LC Huang Surely, human beings need to make a living, but are there other alternative ways to do it, instead of pursuing one's benefits, profits, pleasure, or convenience by exploiting other beings' lives in pains and suffering? Yes, even human enslaving in the mass scale of the contemporary societies is still going on...

Indeed, people have no right to toss opinions on how one amuses oneself. Just a minor episode to share: more than an heir of the current US dynasty, had good times from the big game fun (can/range hunting on tigers, cheetahs, lions, giraffes, elephants and rest of large animals for entertaining. Thanks to Abu Tay Tay's photo.
