Sept 24 (Th) 2015. The Pope, Mecca Stampede, and visitors of China, converging in these dynamic moments - Things in order.

Crystal Huang

15 mins · Edited ·

~ The Pope, Mecca Stampede, and visitors of China, simultaneously converging in these dynamic moments right after CNN GOP. the 13 reality show, the Iran Nuclear deals, and ISIS+Migrating refugees.. : Things in order? ~

Look at the photo attached below, how to be apolitical ? How challenging it is, trying not to see behind the scenes (having been working hard to be one)... The Pope, Mecca Stampede, and China visitors simultaneously converging in these dynamic moments...

At this moment, I was aware of the Pope not having lunch with the Congress people, instead, with the poor, the homeless....

Both the Right and Left wings are tossing all sorts of disgruntles, anti-Catholicism, admiration, inspirations, social engineering/staging, conspiracy theories...and the rest of wide-spectrum of politico-religious ideologies.

But at this juncture, I prefer to see from this angle:

"Now I know why. Visiting the hungry, the un-sheltered first, and then, the SICK, second... :D! (A little bit "leftly" uncouth, though - I meant, the photo shared from an fb friend)."

Crystal Huang Unfortunately, a little bit uncouth, though - teh above post.. Thanks to Kevin Higgs' sharing.  Fortunately,  how lucky and privileged THE SICK are - all blessed by the Pope :)!

~ No correlation?~ Breaking News!!
Speaker of House John Boehner announced to resign at the end of October....
Have you also noticed some - Strangeness? or Miracle? (Mr. Boehner Just now said that he had a good conversation with the Pope??)- happening to Mr. Boehner during Pope's visit while how much political interest and entanglement trapped him down behind the scenes?
What are the impacts of these drops of tears (seemingly, not crocodile style?) on the Conservative camp vs. the Liberals?

John Harrington Boehner opposed shutting down the entire Government over funding planned parenthood. The GOP is booting him for it. The Government doesn't pay for abortion (The Hyde amendment) and hasn't for 30 years so basically he is being pushed because he thinks womans health is not worth shutting down the entire Government. Another right wing mistake. The current Republicans are hurting themselves more and more. People are leaving the party who just can not do anything right anymore.

John Harrington Being told from Fox News that he needs an exorcism or he is the worlds most dangerous man, or that he isn't a true Catholic is just priceless. The incredible shrinking party all suffering from "foot in mouth disease". They just go further and further into their darkness. They prove again and again just how radical, small, shallow and dumb they are. Speaking pawns for the rich.

Sept. 23 (W), 2015. Why is Inequality the root of social evil?

Crystal Huang shared a link.

Pope Francis: Inequality is the root of social evil.

~ A glimpse of LOVE and HATE ~ not jumping into the religious foray.

Are you religious? I might not ( maybe, a little bit of an agnostic-lay-Buddhist).  Surely, not, any Pope's "fan".

Setting aside all sorts of politico-religiously warfare of ideologies forayed by both Right and Left wings and those go-between within the spectrum, at this moment, I would innocently confess that the first time in my life, I paid much attention a Pope's words and actions (whether natural or staged) - P. Francis. I don't even feel that he has a title - Pope !!

Never ever in my life, a spiritual leader would make me want to write about something "apolitically", called feeling - except this time, an amazing experience....

Now, several conservative media outlets/agencies harangued that Pope Francis is the most dangerous man on this planet, who will sabotage US. Capitalism, firing up revolutions, staging "new world order?", deviating from the "norm", canonizing the wrong person, being the last Pope of Catholicism ...and the rest of "Sins" that have been viral on the social media...

How amazing ( Exceptionalism!!) it is - the most precious topic of LOVE preached by different religious groups and denominations could bring forth so much hatred to a spiritual leader who seems saying some "humanized" words which could be so "ideologically wrong" and "unacceptable" to some human beings who monopolize/Capitalize the word "LOVE" the most???

No wonder, how many wars in human history were waged under the name of "GOD" instead of gods...or non-gods.

Anyway, an intriguing world! I only wish him a safe trip and keep healthy as the Pope often says : "Pray for me." (Yes, the Pope is 78 years young with a long heavy, and hectic itinerary).

Pope Francis: 'Inequality Is The Root Of Social Evil'
Pope Francis took a hard stance against inequality on Monday in a tweet sent from his official Twitter page: Inequality is the root of social evil.— Pope Francis (@Pontifex) April 28, 2014

Crystal Huang Joseph, thanks for the posts. Indeed, "TEACH" to fish (I won't deny some people who can be lazy, if not educated/socialized properly). See, how important education is, in particular, when the family is unable to function healthily (just see the impact of these two basic social institutions). Did this dead person also suggest "free or sufficient" Teaching/Education? CVTC is not expensive as you know. But how many students/families can afford higher education (yes, some are supported by their promising parents, and a few are invested by their rich and powerful family legacies) other than Tech colleges? Why do some Governors and entrepreneurs (or super-Capitalists, if you like), seem afraid of the "well-educated, or well-informed" citizens/workers? Another interesting quote from our national tycoon: I need a nation of workers, not a nation of thinkers. Workers had to "fish to death" without being taught/educated (not to mention a meager package of health insurance policy)?

America - Exceptionalism :)! Pope has been exceeding President Obama listed as the most dangerous man on this planet by Fox News!!
Then within such as a short of time, Pope Francis "inspires" endless entrepreneurs looking to capitalize on it (while, the pontiff isn't the biggest fan of capitalism).

Sept. 20 (Sn), 2015. What can the local radio broadcasting system do?

1 hr · Edited ·

Good morning!
Listening to the local radio...

Pop-quiz for today:
What are 2 important themes of the local radio broadcasting system (like this moment smile emoticon ).... You are right - "faith" and sport! If you disagree, maybe adding the non-stop political ideologues' yelling, shouting, and one-dimensional harangues  can be even more interesting (except the tons of commercials that stimulate the shopping appetites) !

This morning a pastor talked about Jeremiah. Suddenly, it reminded me of a charcoal drawing I did as a student long time ago. Dug it out to share.

(Note, drawing with realism was part of the early stage of development. See, Jeremiah does look serious.)

During checking the reliability of this news, I was thinking "Shouldn't the working class and the working poor, as well as the shrunk middle class be obligatory to protect the rich, powerful, and privileged Minority (they are so tiny, so worthy, and so precious, quantitatively speaking)." Aren't they so "vulnerable" ???

Crystal Huang Don't fully believe in what Voltaire said without doing own homework... Aren't there the generous/ kind rich and the bad poor depending one another??

Crystal Huang Why do some faith-based powers or institutions eagerly and seriously concern others' reproductive conditions (might include, encouraging, inducing, abetting, even "designing" ideologically) people to procreate more poor, unfortunate, as well as disadvantaged population, and many of innocent lives have to endure misery and suffering in this world for no fault of their own - intentionally or unintentionally? (Luckily, some are born rich and powerful, if not privileged, such as those tall, handsome, "beautiful" and well-dressed haranguing candidates on 9/16 (W) CNN night debate)? Take a look at this Sister Joan's observation from a "Catholic perspective":
