July 7 (TH), 2022 Breaking news and a conversation on the assassination on July 8.

A moment ago:
Reuters - Breaking news:
https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/japan-ex-prime-minister-abe-may-have-been-shot-taken-hospital-nhk-2022-07-08/
NARA, Japan, July 8 (Reuters) - "Shinzo Abe, Japan's longest-serving prime minister, was shot on Friday while campaigning for a parliamentary election, with public broadcaster NHK saying a man armed with an apparently homemade gun opened fired at him from behind.

Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Abe, 67, was in grave condition. He condemned the shooting in the western city of Nara during the campaign for Sunday's upper house election as an unacceptable attack on the foundation of Japan's democracy..."

NARA, Japan, Reuters - Former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the longest-serving leader of modern Japan, was gunned down on Friday while campaigning for a parliamentary election, shocking a country where guns are tightly controlled and political violence almost unthinkable.

Abe, 67, was pronounced dead around five and a half hours after the shooting in the city of Nara. Police arrested a 41-year-old man and said the weapon was a homemade gun.https://www.reuters.com/.../japan-ex-prime-minister-abe.../

Though not a fan of the capitalistic-conservative ideology in a much class-gender stratified society, I appreciate Mr. Abe's friendship and support for most people in Taiwan.

Krystal LC Huang
While many parts of the CCP regime are gloating over the assassination joyfully, most people in Taiwan express the deep condolences to Mr. Abe and his friends and folks for the long term support during hard times.

The other assassination happened 90 years ago (犬養毅 /いぬかい つよし, died in 1932) and the civilian owned firearms are extremely rare in most countries in Asia. Security issues are supposedly well-managed, but the assassination occurred. As to a long term concern regarding Mr. Abe's health issues, here is an unusual daily schedule on July 6, 2020 to say something about it:

Note: What is the difference between being killed by enemies vs. by its own leaders?
Both Hitler and Stalin were outdone by 毛/Mao Zedong. Just from this event: 1958 to 1962, his Great Leap Forward policy led to the deaths of up to 45 million people. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2016/08/03/giving-historys-greatest-mass-murderer-his-due/
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2016/08/03/giving-historys-greatest-mass-murderer-his-due/?fbclid=IwAR0fgO133i652pBJBITmchHkLy2CecDh_lZbAtKsMOlAaRcMUAgiSkBfbCo

Many parts of the CCP regime show joys toward the death of the Japan’s PM, or intensify a hatred due to a previous war.

In the past, several Japan's PMs expressed apology to the Nanjing tragedy occurring during 1937. In a 1972 Joint Communiqué, Japan gave official development assistance (ODA), amounting to 3 trillion yen (US$30 billion) to CCP China accompanied with various types of repairable policies. According to estimates, Japan accounts for more than 60 percent of China's ODA received.

Tragedies DO HAPPEN during war, otherwise, what else?

What is CCP's stance toward Russia's invasion and the massacres happening in Ukraine?
CCP as the only Party, killed more than 50 million of its own people for no fault of their own several decades ago.

How about the apology with "reparations" to the survivors of the innocent masses massacred on that killing fields?

Surly, the Dillingham Flaw can be controversial depending on the time-frame and places, and how applicable circumstantially.

The major forms of government: Democracy /民主, 共和, Communism /共產主義, Socialism/社會主義, Oligarchy/寡頭政治, Aristocracy/貴族政治, Monarchy /君主專政與君主立憲統治, Theocracy /神權政治, Colonialism/ 殖民政治, Totalitarianism /極權專政, and Military Dictatorship/ 軍事獨裁, prevail in human societies. Their existences accord with the specific timeframes, available resources, and individual capacities.

What is the main difference among them? Welcome your input.

Mine is – quite pricy, but if not so, the cost will be much more expensive in the long run: how well invested, informed, educated of the citizenry.
