In the above photo, the one at the right-hand side corner is Crystal when she was quite young. During a national crisis and family needs, she served in the military for 8 years, now a retired captain.


Once upon a time,
when Crystal was young, knowing nothing about this saha world, except Taiwan situated in one of the most challenging hotspots in the world. The troubled waters along the west side of the Pacific coast are more provocative than ever!

只是個人淺見, 請不吝賜教:

適齡青少年, 參加或接受童子軍, 育樂戰鬥營, 和初級的軍事訓練, 只要不是意識形態的洗腦, 或者有特種目的灌輸, 可當成一種健身強國的辦法. 這是一個相當古老而傳統的看法.

記得高中時, 大家有讀過的比較耳熟能詳, 非軍事專才的唐宋八大家之一的蘇軾, 於西元1061年,提出「時務策」25篇,內容涵蓋政治、經濟、軍事、教育等國家大計,其中一篇教戰守 "策" (當然了還有摩登版, 比較敏感的教戰 "手冊"),以北宋面臨的國家安全及歷代興亡之鑑,提倡居安思危, 國防教育, 與忘戰必危的基本概念. 建議於承平時期,政府及民間社會應保持憂患意識,並使民眾學習攻防戰守等技能, 才能臨危制亂 處變不驚. 亞里士多德的老師柏拉圖也曾提出類似的功能論教育, 雖然並非常完全被贊同, 但其中最主要的目的, 在模塑健康安全的個人與國家, 以道德與學識來創造公正合理的社會, 並非沒道理的.

這裡有個小小經驗分享:
個人以前曾經輔導帶領的幼獅育樂戰鬥營 (寒暑假都會奉派出公差, 出任務, 或辦活動. 此項活動的協調機構是 : 張老師), 課程內容嚴謹精湛, 豐富緊張刺激, 對青少年的身心手腦訓練, 鍛鍊, 並且加上適度的 "磨練", 用意良深, 效果經評鑑極佳, 年年皆辦, 可是當時社會, 把類似的育樂戰鬥營, 視如為特種青少年而設的, 而持有相當 "非主流" 的看法, 這是很可惜的事. 應可推廣給一般的年輕人.

再者, 個人雖然同情巴勒斯坦的處境, 但以色列篳路藍縷,千年建國衛國的精神是可佩的.
臺灣不像以色列全國皆兵. 國家必須自己救, 對於教育經濟軍事的大量投資,是 生存發展的必要的手段, 以色列對美國的影響力, 尤其是巨大無比. ( 如眾所知, 海外猶裔, 同心一力的護衛是主因之一.)

臺灣與以色列, 各有不同的時空情境, 只能當借鏡, 不太適合做等同類比. 但是有幾句古話兩國可通用: "生於憂患, 死於安樂." "人無遠慮必有近憂." 故, 天將降大任於是人也必先苦其心志勞其筋骨餓其體膚空乏其身行拂亂其所為所以動心忍性增益其所不能 - 造就,手腦並用允文允武的健全國民.

當然臺灣要避免被有心者, 加貼軍事國家的莫須有標籤. 而以色列則不必擔心如此的加油添醋. 這是國際上很現實的一個問題.

另加一小感想:
知否, 俗諺: "好男不當兵", 好女卻打釘
- 也不錯耶... 時也, 運也, 命也, 吾之所能也 !
生平缺大志, 只求小事能做好.

不是有一個舊觀念, 把 "可惡的" 當兵, 當成成長中重要的一環? (尤其是對男子?)
不過這已經是老古板的舊事. 現在的當兵已經不是以前的那麼一回事了.

國 - 共 -臺 過去在意識形態的鬥爭中, 把原本強種, 強國, 救國, 建/健國, 訓練鍛鍊的原本意義, 給了相當大的扭曲抹黑, 以色列, 似乎省了一口氣, 少了類似這樣子內鬥的麻煩或危機.
