May 31 (M), 2021 Salute!

Have a safe and great Memorial Day!

Sun Huang

Sun Huang

Sun Huang

Sun Huang

Sun Huang

Sun Huang

Sun Huang

I used this video quite often in my Sociology, Social Problems, and Diversity Studies classes when covering social stratification. Though, is not a new one, the class phenomena, not changed, but widened. This video helps visualize the concept of class, cultural capital, life chance, and social mobility across 3 class types ( 1957, the concept of diversities had not burgeoned yet. So, the video only referred to Caucasians, not interfaced with other race/ethnicity, gender/sex, disability, and the rest of bio-social attributes): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUgDbCZLPpY

The business of business is business, particularly, in the war of vaccines: I got the following LINE's FYI from my classmate several days ago.
I was gagged and thought it was a troll or a prank. A few days later, it turned out to be a super-realism. Rich people, now, are fighting flights to fly to LA, because of the US. opens vaccines to anyone who arrives in LA for free vaccinations!! The sudden explosive vaccine Tourism may bring forth all sorts of positive, negative, and invisible, latent functions.
Some of them might have questioned the validity and effectiveness of the Vaccines a few months ago when the vaccines were available, and now, like a fad, the collective action (the vaccine Movement) is expansive!
So ambivalent!! So many stories behind it...
