Krystal LC Huang HuHu, repeat after me, "One is mouse, two are mice. One is mouse, and two are mice..." Then, she gave up her favorite program and jumped away. She seems prefer Taiwanese which does not have singular or plural problems...
Krystal LC Huang Just thought about this episode with a brief translation. Hopefully, Partiers, Animal lovers, won't be offended !
--------------------------------------------
Krystal LC Huang Two interesting cases, one happened in Taiwan, one in the US. Free Skier Ms. Gu, born and raised in San Francisco with a Chinese mother and an American father, decided to represent CCP for competing in the Olympic game. The other one, born and raised in Taiwan, speed skater Ms. Huang Y.T., her father has a profitable skating business in China, decided to put on China's uniform for the Olympic game. Do money, opportunities, limelight, plus the CCP's omnipresent United-Front-Tactics talk and/or work?
Krystal LC Huang In a previous post, I attached "American Beat Out Kwan" (American figure skater Michelle, her parents were from Hong Kong) and the ex MBA Jeremy Lin's returning to China for playing basketball (his mother side was from China, father side from Taiwan) aroused many controversies... These younger generation with multiple identities (cultural-political-sports...etc.), indeed, have to face more cognitive complexity beyond the Black-n-White...
Krystal LC Huang Money, opportunities, limelight, cultural heritage, political propaganda/identity....etc. which one is more influential? Perhaps, the United-Front Strategists of CCP may be able to answer the question?
Story-telling, episode One, on the very first day of the Tiger year. Fb friends are curious about something. I started telling stories.
Here is the draft version. Might be easier to read:
(A slice of her life - episode one)
(Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd US President) 曾經說過, 以基本的自由換取暫時的安全感, 終究失去二者 (“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety”).
(“Give me liberty or give me death” this statement is credited with inciting the Virginia House of Burgesses to send troops from the colony into the Revolutionary War and inspiring many people to willingly enter the colonies' war against England. At the Virginia Convention on March 23, 1775, Patrick Henry spoke these famous words. As leader of the anti-Federalists, he demanded that the Bill of Rights be added to the U.S. Constitution to limit the federal government’s power more strictly, and to guarantee the protection of each and every citizen’s basic individual liberty).
(A brief translation: Nevertheless, the ideals of liberty, evolving to the present time, whether distorted, or abused, the original zeitgeist is deteriorating. During the Revolutionary war, people fought for the individuals and the nation’s independence, thus “give me liberty or give me death”! Now, under the Pandemics, people have been fighting for WHAT (most, manipulated)? Where is the enemy? Taking back liberty and freedom from the deadly viruses, how? Tilting at windmills? Even these invisible, detrimental coronaviruses are not imaginary, which have turned the world upside down)!
(Electoral College, based on each state’s population and winner takes all practice) (The current system started before the Civil War. In 1824, Mr. Andrew Jackson won the popular vote but received less than half of the electoral votes and lost out to Mr. John Quincy Adams. In 1876, Mr. Samuel Tilden won the popular vote but lost the election by one electoral vote to Mr. Rutherford B Hayes. In 1888, Mr. Grover Cleveland also clinched the most popular votes in the country but conceded his 168 electoral college votes to Mr. Benjamin Harrison’s 233 electoral votes. The year 2000, Democrat Mr. Al Gore won the popular vote but lost out to Mr. George W Bush. The recount of ballots led to Mr. Bush gaining 271 electoral votes versus Mr. Gore’s 255 votes. 這裡加上兩個個貼圖 (posted on facebook, June, 23, and Aug. 27, 2020) 解釋一下, 於圖示.
(These individuals of media mouthpieces, you might know : Axxx Jxxxx, Sxxx Hxxxxxx, Gxxx Bxxx, Jxxxx Kxxxx, Cxxxx Lxxxx, even the gently oscillating Gxxxxx Nxxxx....just to name a few - wow, controlling millions of "innocent" lives and deaths!!!)
No testing, no cases. Out of sight, out of mind. This is not a false alarm, but a severe whistleblowing: Free viral carriers are roaming everywhere…” (Attached in the threads below.) (Don’t worry! Be at ease!)
參閱他侄女, 瑪麗的著作 - "Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man" is a tell-all book written by American psychologist Mary L. Trump about her uncle, former U.S. President Donald Trump, and his family.)
(New York State Department of Taxation and Finance)有「至少三十幾次」因這個人房產欠稅而獲得稅收留置權。
(The "third distribution", refers to creating “absolute” opportunities for high-income groups and enterprises so they can give back to society "effectively and efficiently," including through “Compulsory” gifts and charitable donations, otherwise, the business Tycoons might "be disappeared” without reasons).

(During the above teaching career, I also completed my terminal degree in 2015 through being a part-time student for 10 years. This could be an answer to some friends' curiosity why I did not teach at the 4-year college? In fact, students and I have some similarity regarding SES at the 2-year college environment that sustains my teaching enthusiasm.)
